I joined Forward Thinking Fitness one year ago. My last baby was approaching his first birthday, and my “baby weight” was now just “weight.” I was embarrassed to have my picture taken or wear anything that exposed any part of my body. I was fed up with the way I looked and felt, and I was tired of feeling helpless to control my ever-increasing weight and clothing size. My neighbor told me about FTF and how much he loved it, so I decided to give it a shot. I didn’t have high expectations since I was never one for going to the gym and working out, but I was willing to try anything! The first couple of weeks were hard…really hard. I had to really come to terms with how out of shape I had let myself become, but it just made me that much more determined to improve. After a few weeks, I found I could keep up better and be less sore. Most importantly, I was starting to see results! After 2 months, I had lost 8lbs of fat and gained 3lbs of muscle. I had more energy and actually started looking forward to working out. Every time someone made a comment that I looked good, or looked like I lost weight, I felt a little extra boost in my motivation. It’s now one year later, and I can honestly say coming to FTF has changed my life. I’ve lost 20lbs overall, and my body fat has decreased by 12%! I’m healthier and stronger, I have so much more energy, and I like my body again! I’m not ashamed to wear shorts or tank tops or to get my picture taken. I am so grateful for Evan, Ryan, Amber, and Payton for making me “push the pace” every day and helping me improve week after week. I know my journey is just getting started, and I’m so happy to have found my fitness family at FTF!


I was surprised at how good I felt after just the first few weeks of training. I have never done personal training before, so it was a brand new experience for me. I was a little nervous, but the trainers made the entire process easy. I couldn’t believe how much different I looked! I can’t wait to do the next challenge!


I joined Forward Thinking Fitness a year ago, and I’m so glad I did! FTF has changed my life! I had been going to “the gym” for over 20 years but hit a wall. My body wasn’t responding to my fitness routines anymore, and I was putting on weight. After joining FTF and really focusing on my fitness goals and healthy eating habits, I was able to lose over 15 lbs in 6 months and gain muscle mass!! I am stronger and healthier than I’ve ever been in my entire life. For the first time ever I can do real push ups! The trainers, Evan, Amber, Ryan, and Peyton are so kind and caring and really focus on your form to help maximize your ability. I never want to leave FTF…it’s like family.

One year ago I walked into my first session at Forward Thinking Fitness with my heart in my throat and a churning in my stomach. To say I was terrified would be an understatement! Evan and his staff made me feel immediately like I belonged there. They constantly encourage me and push me a little harder with each workout. I have made many friends and in many ways working out at Forward Thinking Fitness is like being in a close knit and welcoming family. To date I have lost a considerable amount of weight and reduced my cholesterol levels to a healthy level for the first time in my adult life!



My journey at Forward Thinking Fitness began in May 2017 when I signed up for the 21 Day Summer Shred. As someone who has been overweight her entire life, but always active, I am always looking for new and different ways to work out. When you enter FTF you can immediately see it’s not like any other gym you’ve been to—no treadmills, no ellipticals!! I met with Evan for my first visit and fitness assessment and I was very impressed with his professionalism and knowledge and use of technology. They do your body composition analysis on a crazy high tech scale that can tell you how much each of your arms and legs weigh along with your body fat percentage, etc. My first workout was tough, very challenging but I loved the way Evan was constantly making me aware of my form and would always modify the exercises to my specific hindrances (in my case, very weak hips). After the first workout I was hooked (sore as heck, but hooked!). In my first month at FTF I lost 20 pounds of body fat!! Evan, Payton, Adam and Amber are all very knowledgeable, caring and honest. They watch you when you’re working out, there is no opportunity for you to cheat on your exercises, they let you know when your form is off, they’ll add more weight or more reps to your set when they know you can handle it (even when you don’t think you can). They are incredibly encouraging and are genuinely invested in your progress. The FTF trainers have bolstered my confidence, kicked my butt and made me laugh all simultaneously. The team training sessions are also wonderful, there is a real sense of community and encouragement with FTF, not just from the trainers but from the members as well. In the 6 months since I’ve joined FTF I’ve gone from 50% body fat to 37% and have lost almost 50 pounds! I would recommend FTF to anyone looking for a results driven, challenging and fun way to get in the best shape of your life. You will not find better trainers or a better program anywhere!!
